Lots of articles/talk coming out today from both here and India that Kohli will skip India duty to sign for Surrey for a month to acclimatise to English conditions.

We really don't help ourselves do we!

Surrey in June? Of course it is. I propose a new rule - wouldn't want to be too restrictive, so overseas stars are completely free to come play county cricket... with two caveats: must be in April/May, and in Div 2. I want to see Kohli, Smith, Warner etc. looking wildly confused as they're confronted by Darren Stevens on a damp green seamer.

Surrey would jump at the chance of getting Kohli but as far as I was aware they signed Mitch Marsh for the whole season.

Would be a massive boost to any county to have Kohli. I’d imagine crowds would suddenly pick up at the chance to see one of the best

Love it. The kind of pitches that two years back made Jesse Ryder look like FS Trueman!

Leicestershire have signed Varun Aaron for the county championship and the 50 over comp.

I saw on CricInfo that the BCCI had given him leave to miss a test match in order to play county cricket in England - so they must be serious!

If I lived in the area I'd definitely go and watch Kohli in a few games. One of the greats!

If he did come to us the 'home' game is at Guildford where we always lose. Not sure what he gains from that. Ah.

Amazing they are so keen to beat the 5th ranked side that they would let him miss a test to get used to conditions before a test series here.

I'm guessing that it's because he was so poor in the last tour India had in England, he won't want to fail here again.

Why just Kohli thought, I know he's the chosen spoilt one, but don't they all need to get used to conditions?

Pujara's at Yorkshire and I think a couple of the other players have county contracts, I just think Kohli is the 'star' player so if he plays over here and performs well in the test matches, he will lift the squad.
