Probably waiting to see where things go with the series. If it's 3-0 why waste spending the extra cash when half the viewing population will likely switch off (I certainly won't be up at 4am again if we go 3 down!).

It wouldn't surprise me that if we win this test that he's then suddenly wearing GN come boxing day mind!

The only thing I could think is that his contract with GN had been signed ready for 1st Jan 2018 and that when Adidas found out he was jumping ship they terminated his contract early. Still you would have thought the new sponsor would have sorted something out for the Ashes.

Sounds plausible but id have thought 3 Ashes tests of exposure would have been better than none for Adidas

Me too but I can't think of a logical reason why either the previous sponsor or the new sponsor would miss out on the biggest show in town?

Bairstow wearing what look like some BAS-like gloves that most of the indian players wear now

Isn't he using his Adidas ones with the logos covered?

Not today. His batting gloves resembled the BAS sausage style gloves.

Is it the three stripes that give it away?

Hmm so he is, I wonder where they've come. I don't think any Aussie retailers stock them

I can only assume that he introduced himself to the CEO of ADIDAS with the obligatory headbutt.....
