Hated the way Kohli literally took off on the scribes for asking some really relevant questions..

Like his batting, but certainly not his arrogance.

The attitude wasn't good but what was the journalist expecting by asking him that he didn't select his best XI?

He's a talent cricket but a classless grade A fudbox of a man. Have tried to like him given how ace is he to watch batting, but it's just not possible.

Prickly interview indeed. One of the journos said under kholi there has never been the same 11 on the field

Is that really right? Surely not

Most of the commentators saying that this match should be abandoned due to a unsafe pitch

Holding:
"Two out of 100 [is my rating for the pitch]. It's a s**t pitch. You can interpret that. They should have called it off when Vijay got hit. This is not a cricket pitch, this is dangerous. Call it off, forget it. You can't play cricket on that. I have no idea what has gone wrong but I know it's not a good cricket pitch."

Clearly SA were desperate for a 3-0 result looking at this pitch.

Anyone watching it live? Is it as bad as people are making out or a load of fuss about nothing?

Watching at the minute, yes odd balls are misbehaving and majorly in some cases.
Umpires are having the odd chat about it when a player gets hit.

But you can't win Holding is either complaining the pitches are too flat then when a ball moves off the straight its too hard to bat on and its a sh*t pitch.

Such an important innings by Rahane. Shows what a stupid decision Kohlintook and he's become so powerful within the system that there's no one within the setup to question him.

From a few websites -

"Two days out from the match, there was a generous covering of green grass on a surface baking under a hot sun, with groundsman Bethuel Buthelezi saying in a weekend newspaper interview that he was planning on preparing a "green mamba" - which South Africans understand as a green pitch offering venomous assistance to seam bowlers."
