Solitaire

Still going I believe, they released a new range of stickers last season. Still see plenty of them around the Worcestershire Leagues

See - this is brilliant knowledge!!!!

It dredges up a few thoughts -

i) I once had a massive lam from Ihsan which was awesome (but didn't last long) from the Hosk - wouldn't mind another one of those again

ii) I think Willostix might have started out or finished off with Larsons stuff (but I'm happy to be corrected)

iii) I really, really want one of those new Swannack Jumbo shapes, might have to sell all my spare bits and bobs to get one (as I am financially responsible :))

iv) AS bats are right off the radar, there was a time when their V10 (?) was briefly a hot commodity and very good value for money

v) Does anyone remember many of the brief lives of stickered up brands on here?  (Bosom, Talisman, et al?)

Would say amongst teams from south Worcs Solitaire  in 2017 was very popular.

I am going to Stac this Saturday

Basically for weight reduction on my current bat but might come home with new one.

@jayralh please take your camera and give us an update!

I don't think Gary ever marketed Choice that hard anyway, they may have been quite a 'local' brand to his area. Lovely bloke though, and makes a good bat.

Oooh! I loved instincts graphics, and the bats were pretty good - sourced through Brimblemort, so either TK's or maybe Larsons. The couple I used were really, really good, but nothing revolutionary, simply good sourced willow I think.

How about -

TK made I believe, sourced via Brimble.

I remember the Soviet branding! @procricket wrote a heavy review on one of the sticks

I might be miles off but didn't they get their softs made in the UK? Weirdly just came to mind so unsure!

Softs made in the Uk would surely be astronomical!

A lot of people in our league used to use the Centurian gear as one of the players pushed it a bit.

Was decent kit and the bats always seemed to perform well.

They had a model of pad that was similar to the Surridge pads Gooch wore with a strange knee joint!

Any more details on the brand or what happened to them?

I think it was all imported and stickered up, but it was good stuff. They did a bat in a similar shape to a Jumbo. was endorsed by Devon Malcolm I think (which come to think of it, may have affected it's longevity!)

Re-appeared briefly in Essex a few years ago.
