Had quite a few -

Game in Peterborough the outfield had a very popular public footpath around 10m inside the boundary, one family decided they were going to stop and sit on said footpath and have a picnic. Weren’t too pleased when we told them to move on.

Game in Luton stopped as a moped went across the square while we were playing. Incidently half the car park was closed when we arrived to the game that day as someone has been recently murdered in their car and it was still an active crime scene.

Played a tour match in a deer park (in Cornwall/Devon I think) and the game had to be delayed for around 10-15mins while all The deer made their way across the outfield.

Had a game stopped for around an hour while an air ambulance waiting to move a patient into an ambulance.

Finally played a game at Bashley on tour and the fielder/bowler refused to touch the ball after it had been hit onto the power lines that run over the ground.

At a midweek game last season we turned up and there were a load of travellers on the field next to the pitch.

We didn't think this was an issue so carried on as normal. A few overs into the first innings we had to halt the game as they all drove off. Caravans, pickups and transit vans stopped play...

In this US, grounds are often shared with other sports. This usually means soccer or American football, and usually means that only one sport is being played at a time. But once every year, they have a bunch of races held in a huge field. And this means stopping every few overs as the kids run through your part of the field.

Watched a game in the Cherwell League a few years back, the police turned up, asked about some bloke then walked out to the middle and arrested one of the batsman, they then put him in the back of their car and drove off, still in his kit. In the score book he was given out Retired.

Way back we had a bunch of kids joy riding a car across the pitch while we were playing Rugby.  Motor bikes were very common

Did they at least allow him to bring his bat?

Have had a game suspended due to sun reflecting off a nearby roof behind the bowlers arm but nothing like that! Haha

Club had a match delayed while we all took cover from a lion someone had reported in Southampton. It was a stuffed toy. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-hampshire-13491268

Also had a school match delayed while a glider landed. He was a cricket fan so skirted round the square. We sold him a load of raffle tickets as ground rental.

On the committee at South Wilts CC in Salisbury. Used to play in the Birmingham League years ago but 2 fake knees put paid to that. Got a lad on The Hants Academy so see a lot of the local Southern Prem and Hants League.
