For me I'd say there are three or four main options and I'll list the pros and cons of each in my eyes.
Tim Keeley made bats - there are several brands that exist and if you'd like a list of a few then PM me. Pro's: world renowned bat maker, bats all pressed really well and all have good forgiving middles. Cons: flat gave means the shoulders crack for fun and most have skinny handles.
Stuart Kranzbhuler made bats : any GN aus made bats. Pros: heard nothing but positive reviews, all big and most are light, a world renowned brand that a plethora of pros use, they can't all be wrong. Cons: so bloody expensive!!!
Hunts County made bats - pros: down to earth brand that produce consistent sticks. Price is usually really good. Cons, your less likely to get a. Super low density, stunningly grainy cleft due to a slightly lower volume of wood passing through their hands compared to the other two.
Chase cricket - fantastic brand, control every part of the process including growing and felling of trees great value for money, forgiving profiles and a great price. Cons: most have Mid-low middles and so if you want anything higher there is a 30 pound charge for a bespoke. Option, however you can go to the factory and have it made in front of you with your choice of cleft. Worth it IMO.
