I'll post up the round bottom plane modifications and the forging of a drawknife soon

I've not had chance to forge the drawknife,, I was eventually lucky enough to get one off eBay that's perfect , after buying loads
I will get round to it soon tho and post pics

Just waiting for the glue to dry on the binding on this one,,,slightly different toe for once

Tuffers,,,,I’ve not touched or needed a round bottom plane since getting a travisher,,, I could almost do a raw cleft to a bat using the travisher alone, it would take a bit longer,and kill the edge on the travisher, but it is almost a one batmaking tool.

The press is done ,,, but I might strip it down and start again
It’s way over engineered for what I need, and takes up all the room in one of my sheds, and hopefully we are moving house soon, so it needs stripping down anyway.

excellent. you certainly have some skill when it comes to creating bats. really happy with the one you made me. so much so that i  havnt used it yet!! just a stunning piece of willow.
be interested in seeing the press and how you engineered it
