Slipped to bottom place after losing by 10 wickets last week now back off the bottom with a ten wicket win for us this week!! It's a merry go round in Middlesex as we battle to stay up

Bowled he oppo out for 147 on a scorching day, I was 22 not out in a partnership of 150 which my partner hit a 48 ball hundred.

Some of the most devastating hitting I've ever seen....I walked off wishing I could play like that and then thinking I've stuck to my game for years and it's worked.

Plenty of hard yards to do in he winter, but for now we savour a win in a dogfight at the bottom.  :)

I don’t think he’s ever turned a ball in his life! Bowls slow seam, but sticks it on the stumps and waits for you to spoon it in the air!

Everyone in the league hates facing him, as he knows exactly how to set a field to his moon balls, and eventually you make a mistake! I’ve always fared ok against him as I sweep him and hit him straight, but everytime we play him he picks up 3/4 wickets. Nightmare bowler!

Played with norm for a few years, and against him on a couple of occasions, presidents days etc.

Unless the pitch is a minefield and prone to rolling, just let it bounce and almost go past you before swivelling and whacking it to backward square leg. He always puts all his fielders in front of square

Staying rock bottom. They got 160. Easy gettBle total on a decent track and tiny ground. We were bowled out for 82. We have batted so poorly all season.

Been discussing that with some mates tonight, shocking stuff!
Seems to have got quite a lot of attention with Bumble and Piers Morgan weighing in.

Top scored as we were all out for 65 today on a spicy wicket, although they made it look easy chasing the total in just under 10 overs. Not a good day!  :(

For those that played in the CBF game the chap batting is the short lad with the incredibly open stance.
Gutted for him

We claimed our third win of the season yesterday. We won the toss and decided to bowl first on a scorcher of a day. Oppo got 188-6 from there 40 it should have been 150 but our fielding wasn’t as good as it can be. I went in with the score 28-2 and we ended up boring everybody holding up an end scoring 40 off 87 balls. It should have been more but the running between the wickets wasn’t that good (my plan was to get a single to get the other batter on strike so he can crash the bowling around). These singles weren’t taken and tight two’s were only singles. I lost my head through frustration and ended up being bowled from a bowler who just bowled slow loopy and full deliveries. We needed 36 off the last 3 and some big hitting after I was out meant we got them 4 down in the 40th over. A good win which means we are pushing to get out of the relegation spots, but a frustrating day personally

What a day yesterday. With our captain on holiday I took the reigns for a must win game against the bottom side who haven't won all year.

On a used pitch I won the toss and put them in. They went along nicely all innings and posted 224-6 from their 45 overs. I don't know if the captaincy effected me more than I realised, or the pressure of the game because I bolwed like a drain!

We needed 5rpo to win, and were always there or there about with the rate. Our opener made 66 and an 18 year old made his maiden 2nx XI 50. We got there 6 down with 4 balls to spare.

Looking at the league table this morning we are now out of the relegation zone. Call me captain Cam... ;)

Slapped one straight at short extra cover for 0 off 5 balls yesterday.

We lost.

I can't buy a run at the minute.

I hate cricket.

I’m confused by this. A ball can’t go for 6 unless it comes off the bat.

No umpires, not surprised whoever was standing was unsure what to do in such a ridiculous scenario

Scored a scratchy 30 yesterday, short boundaries but no pace to use.  Nice to know I can grind a slow 30 out when not feeling in the best nick.  Ended up 20 short with about 5 overs left.  Good game though.

Agreed but even if you go by the rules.... 4 plus the no ball It equals the 5 they needed. So the guy got screwed either way.

Absolutely shocking!!!
