Who's been Sponsored by them in the last 10 years...?
« on: June 29, 2018, 08:48:55 AM »

Slazenger... the old favourite from years gone by. But why do so many little players use them now? @alexhilly1492 and I have been having a bit of fun on a Friday morning to see who has used them in the in the last 10 years, Internationally or county (Can be any country)

Now if this was Gray Nics, Gunn and Moore or Kook we'd be able to name endless amounts.

The list so far... (Please feel free to add names)

Jason Roy
Jonny Bairstow
Paul Collingwood
Steve Smith
Michael Clarke
Jacques Kallis
Ian Bell
Matt Prior
Eion Morgan
Jimmy Anderson
Steven Finn
Adil Rashid
Tom Westley
Tim Bresnan
David Miller
Theunis De Bruyn
Billy Godleman
Harvey Hosein (Derbyshire)

Sad that it's so difficult to name players these days given their illustrious past - Viv Richards, Len Hutton, Denis Compton, Mark Waugh, Don Bradman et al.

Signs weren't good  on the sponsorship front when they ditched Clarke about 3 weeks before he posted a triple against India.  Anyone know whom made that bat?  Did/do they send their pros to Sondhi, or do/did the players just sticker them up anyway?

Look at the amount of Slazenger on display at any lower level game of cricket. Why would they need to sponsor pros?

Is there a lot of Slazenger gear on display?

We play in a midweek league that has a few "social sides" and they tend to use mostly GM or Gray Nicolls, with the odd New Balance thrown in.
