Every bit as good although I've only had the one from Marty and I've had numerous bats from laver and all were great. Still kick myself about letting the best bat I've ever seen go but it was politics and nothing to do with the bat. Not sure id get the same quality again as i went via a very very close friend of Marty's hence why the bat was so special.

My Sachin's were not used by him, but they were ordered by him for his own use. He does get given hundreds of bats as so many brands want to be associated with him but he very rarely orders bats so to have 2 of the ones he ordered means they are the real thing. It is a very lucky position to be involved in the supply of willow and bats to the pro's, plus I get paid to do it rather than pay the Pro to pretend to endorse a brand.

Tom, if you are free Wednesday evening for a net/show off you bats meeting with senior forum big dogs let me know as a select top secret hush hush venue has been chosen and I would guess it is only 45 minutes from you by train. Come see the best bats in the world......

Surely this should put up through a private message - my bat envy levels have gone up far too much.

100 not out-i swear you posted a while back you were visiting M&H in January, did this happen as would of been a great experience watching your bat being made there and then in front of you?
Blimey, a chance to use the worlds best bats at Lords!

Interesting guess - perhaps I should be dusting off my egg and bacon tie

Not Lords, they do not share our values of nets/beer/curry and put too much on the nets side of things.

Sounds a tricky combo trying to bat whilst eating nuts and a curry and sipping a beer....could get rather messy!

I will look out for that, thanks Tom, but personally, I think I will stick to the cravat on this occaision.

Perhaps the meeting of minds and willow will be taking place at the Ken Barrington cricket school - this will give a better option for the beer and curry
