@Edward Lowy

Will gm ever go down the “classic” route and release a vintage bat like some other manufacturers have?

I always regretted not getting a 05 shape hero and purist whole o and the chance!

I’m sure there’s be a market (maybe only on here) for two of the great bat shapes!

Yes.

I'd travel down from Yorkshire for this! Oh might need some veggie food options ;)

I'd encourage anyone who can make it to take the tour of the GM factory. Such an impressive facility manned by knowledgeable people who really care about cricket.

I've been 4 times and have learned something new every single time.

A "modernised" version of the Original Purist would be dreamy.
Retain the basic shape with the high spine and zero concaving, but thicker edges than the old version and retro stickers please!

I would love to go on a GM factory tour, if it can be arranged. May have to leave my credit card at home, though...

Never say never, but I'm tempted to say No.

However romantic Retro sounds, I feel the game changes - whenever we compare a bat of today with a much loved past master, they look shapeless and - frankly - wimpy! Better I think to provide bats relevent for today's game, to keep in step and set trends for the future.

How many people, I wonder, would pay a chunk of change for an older shape? Would it be for playing or collecting?

Kind regards

Edward
