Edward thank you for sharing the info and also your time to provide info on here.

I grew up with GM, they / you are a fantastic manufacturer you are.  And English!

Machine consitency with hand finishing = great.

My first proper adult bat was an Apex 808 - just love it.

Edward how long should it take a chrome to open up fully with 2018 pressing .

After much netting still doesn't feel open .

The fact it will be a long term bat is no issue and fulfills a purpose for training but do some bats of yours reallly open up after a very long time

A few years ago I had a Luna 808 that took ages to open up.  I took the risky decision of offering it up to team mates in nets - yeah, have a go, see what you think - in order to expedite the process.  By the time it did open up, about 6 or 7 months of solid use in nets (and 1 game near the start when it patently wasn't ready) it was splendid and went like a rocket thereafter, great stick.

I’m hoping the maestro will be available over here. I would like to see a modernised version of the purist as well

This season I used a Neon Singature as my match bat all season, however it was my net bat last year which I normally net once a week with against a bola machine for about 30-40 mins so i reckon it was used solely in the nets for approx 7/8 hrs. When it came to this season I had full confidence it was fully knocked in and has been superb from ball one.

I followed the same process last season when I used a Chrome all season and that had been my net bat. This now tends to be my way of deciding my match bat. I have used a new bat every season for as long as I can remember however this may be the first time that my current GM Neon remains my No1 bat although i do have 2 more Neons that have been net bats this season.

GM have certainly improved the pressing over the past few years but like any bat takes a while to get really good.

Hi folks

Just wanted to give you a heads up on GM 2019 - we are coming towards the end of our B2B Trade launch which has taken place over the last week. The public launch will be on October 17th 2018 at Noon - at that point, our website will be updated with the new range and GM DXM English Willow bats will be available from your favoured retailers for immediate purchase / delivery.

As hyperbole is not in my vocab, I wouldn't dream of saying that this is the finest range of cricket equipment ever assembled. But it is and big respect to the boys and girls at GM Central for planning it and making it happen. Trade response very enthusiastic indeed, not only to the range - which I guess is important -  but also to the spare ribs and crispy lamb  on Tuesday night!

We aim for unparalleled consistency and quality of our English Willow bats, all Made by England's Best in our own factory in Nottingham. Each of our bat shapes is distinct, has different playing qualities for different styles of play. I am continually astonished that so many other brands (a) don't actually make their own bats as they have no factory or bat manufacturing knowledge or heritage (b) seem to have single or limited shapes with different stickers (c) don't make their English Willow bats in England. That is just not on in my view given that the basic raw material (English Willow) is only indigenous to the UK.

Anyways, big thanks again to our wonderful staff and hope that you will enjoy seeing the range on October 17th.

All the best

Edwad

Great to see one of the big manufacturers taking their time time to come on here, if you ever did a retro bat would surely have to be the maestro from the late 80s as used by Tim Robinson!

Talent cricket... pictures up a day early but no delivery until mid November :)

Might not get any delivery at all after posting early. It is not as if there have been special searches made. The items were on the home page...

Sorry @Edward Lowy - Just a cricketing geek who found some images and links early. Perhaps a good tease ahead of the full release tomorrow...
