Always wondered if the GM Now process was to do with pressing or something, bit boring to find it's just a bloke wit ha hammer. No shortcuts I guess :)

Just to say I’m not going to be at work next Friday as I’m off for surgery on the Thursday (so will be off work for a while) but I hope you all enjoy your time at the factory.
I’m hoping to post more on here while I’m off, to share my nearly 7 years of experience at GM with everyone

I feel old! Some would describe me as an adult but doesn’t feel 5 minuets since I was 18

The video was a revelariom

So many interesting truths came out

Didn't Edward say they didn't grade on appearance? Video suggests they do?

They definitely grade on appearance and their instant performing bats are 400 plus

What were the most interesting truths for you

I flicked through it and saw them grading cleft according to how clean and white they were.

Why are these more likely to be 'instant performing'?

Is there a secondary grading process I have missed, then?

My reading is that GM account for weight along with density first and then move on to aesthetics.

So low density, clean clefts give the best performance?

From the video: low density, clean clefts are made into players grade/models so they cost more...

I'm pretty sceptical of any major manufacturer whos says they grade on performance, it's just such an individual thing.

1. In response to a question I asked, Edward Lowry clearly stated that they graded on their assessment of performance.

2. Haven't a lot of 'players' quite visibly had a thing for two-tone willow in recent years?

You could argue that appearance is, too.
