Which bats have you purchased from Sportsdirect?  :)

Sports Direct is an absolute quality lottery, some real junk in there, but at least you can pick the bat up and get a feel for it (and maybe even knock a ball against it). Occasionally if you need a bat at short notice you find an absolute bargain.

Decathlon also sell a slightly better range of bats at competitive prices. I've bought a few from there in the past.

Thanks for the kind words @KettonJake and I agree whole heartedly with your post. Even in this GM thread we are talking about Sports Direct and the number of negative comments Edward recieved was harsh and for some must have been a tad embarrassing. As for this paragon signatures maybe it was the shape as having owned a paragon I couldn’t get on with it and never felt confident.
One thing that makes so much sense is the amount spent on a bat wasted if the ability doesn’t back it up, a £600 bat will not make you play better, however for some if you like the top end kit and it’s not stretching you financially then I totally agree with your purchase.

Going back to this thread I really hope those that visit on Friday have a lovely time and look forward to seeing peoples pictures

Gutted I can’t make it but A) it’s half term and have my daughter B) my wife is expecting our 1st child in a matter of days and that would end my career and life if I missed that due to being looking around GM although I have told her I will be going soon even if it means kids in toe

Have a great day everyone.

Unless there are pictures and videos, it didn't happen!

They’ll be plenty!

Hopefully I’ll be able to work out how to upload them later on!

Enjoy,

I couldn't get time off work, permission from the Mrs or find flights to anywhere nearby, but I'll make it one day...

I couldn’t get permission off the Mrs to fly home from Greece early however I have bumped into Ryan Sidebottom in the hotel a few times. Very pleasant bloke and a big lad, I’m 6’2” and he dwarfs me
