Even Jesus had his critics Edward!

Sounds like everyone had a fantastic time. Ive never had a brand new GM before but after hearing all the positive feedback from the 5 that went i think 2019 will be the year. @Six Sixes Cricket can you line me up something nice please?

Well this is true!

We had a great day, looking forward to the next one!

Kind regards

Certainly @LateBloomer , which model currently takes your fancy?

I like the look of the Mythos, slightly shorter blade is that right? But am open to your suggestions

As a reference - the balance of that Chase I had from you is perfect for me

With the Signature looking the stand out bat, particularly at the price point does this sit above the 808 in that it goes through the ‘better’ two press process or only through the single press?

Sorry, I’m still not 100% on where these sit in the range.

Signature is about 707 range, and therefore doesn’t get the second press.

They said it changed the feel, didn’t say it made the bat any better. Didnt say it made it worse though.
Was the reason to make the lower range bats last longer, or simply that a single press saves time?

Sorry I assumed that it must produce a better product if was completed only on the higher end bats.

Signature and 707 are relative to each other and below 808, so i'm guessing one press. That said i've reviewed 606's and signatures and found no issue with their press. I think I said n a recent review I could tell the pressing had improved.

Loved reading most of this thread and well done to the lads for the write-up and GM for a great day and full transparency. Great company.

@Edward Lowy please can you explain the two styles of press you use?
What is the difference between the way you press bats 808 and upwards and the lower end offerings, and what does this achieve?

Thank you in advance

I would like to know why your bats aren’t bowed. Is there a particular reason for this?

i forgot to ask this

however

when the handles are fitted they are set slightly forward which gives them a hint of a shape

I think this is a  quirk of a GM bat and something the brand has decided to do

there are some bats in the range that have a bow, i think the Zelos is onw

I think there may have been something lost in translation here - all full size bats are pressed the same irrespective of grade. We use two presses, one hydraulic and one mechanical as over time we have found that a combination of the both provides the best and most consistent pressing.

Zelos blade is bowed and, yes, as mentioned elsewhere, all GM bats have a "set" to the handle / blade which gives a natural curve.

Try one Guru, it will be a life changing event!

So GM only press in one way then?? I.E a signature bat is pressed exactly the same way and the same amount of times as an OLE
