GM ST30 606
« on: November 03, 2018, 05:40:29 PM »

Picked this bat up off Amazon the other day for £32, weighs 2lb 8oz and has 6 evenly spaced straight grains and a few blemishes as to be expected with this grade.
The bat has a 540mm blade length and 280mm handle length which makes it 30mm shorter in the handle than a standard short handle bat with 540mm blade, i don't think this will be too much of an issue as i'd already shorten my GM Neon's handle slightly by removing the knob from the top of the handle . The only other difference is a slightly thinner handle but this isn't anything that a second grip won't sort out.
The response with an oldish ball and off the mallet is decent but that's to be expect from the GM's i've picked up over the last couple of years.

Here's a comparison between the ST30 ,GM Neon(slightly shorter than standard) and Gray Nicolls Prestige

The GM Book of cricket says 108mm and I’d say it’s bang on that when measuring with a ruler
