Thanks for the info folks. Currently looking at a featherblade from JP Gavan, plus the feedback from Mcvicars sounds great so I'm looking into that. I'd forgotten about Ulysses, but have seen mixed reviews of Hitman so most likely not going there. I'm thinking of getting a Honey Badger from NZ as well, or using the Willow Blue bat makers list to find small start ups making their own sticks.

Got sledged a lot at the weekend as we were play against the guy who runs Ace's team, though he's injured and out for the season after hand surgery.

if social media is anything to go by Josh used the last feather-blade cleft he had recently...might be abit of a wait for the new stock to arrive...could be worth starting discussion with him relating to his "secretwillow" claims he has been throwing around...

as for McVicars...strike up conversation with him and you'll find him to be as genuine as they come and he turns out a very impressive stick...feel free to mention that i spoke highly of him (John D from Tasmania)...ive purchased 2 from him and referred 2 others in the past 6-9 months now :D

if you are looking across the ditch to NZ you really cant go past laver and wood :) the conqueror @ $300 aud has tempted me on a few occasions lately

1. Screaming Cat bats (if they are still making bats)
2.McVicar bats.
3.Bradbury bats.

Rest all are Indian manufactured bats(not saying they are bad or anything), which you can get anywhere at a very low price.

Should also look at Fisher bats. Handmade by Lachlan Fisher two hours outside of Melbourne. Check out his website for his mobile number and he’ll be more than happy to have a chat
