Didn't everyone want to drop Stokes last week?
He seems to have done alright so far today...

im sorry but how is mo a passenger, hes an all rounder, how often does he fail with ball?

hardly ever!

if he was just batting with that average id be concerned but he offers plenty with the ball!

we wanted root dropped last week now mo! god god this forum can be insane!!!!!

Mo. Is way below the player he was a couple of years back.   His bowling is ok nothing more and his batting these days.  Very avg. Dawson, Denly, Samit Patel even are far better batsmen and in my opinion just as good white ball bowlers to replace him or go with Bess and stick with and trust a younger player who will be around the England side a while. Even root is as effective white ball bowler at mo

311 Although a good score England  had a stutter with  woakes  13 off 13 balls  with 5 overs left and 4 wickets in hand when they needed to push on.could be the difference between winning and losing reckon SA will  fancy there chances  keeping England to 311

that's a strange way of looking at it. Woakes faced 13 balls out of a possible 300 in the innings. The stutter in the innings came when set batsmen who have 50 don't go on a get big tons..

am I missing something here?

I dont agree with him but i think he is saying that at the end of the innings you would expect a better strike rate. Hit out or get out kinda deal

Nailed it with  4 overs left and 4 wickets in hand all strikers of the ball you need to be playing the big shots

Yes they missed out but not an end of the innings failure   to hit out.

Zinger bails are heavier, pretty sure its happened in the IPL and BBL

just as i post that cricinfo put this on their feed regrading Amla:

"We have an Amla update. He has been assessed and is doing fine. Due to the sensitive nature of head injuries, he will undergo another re-assessment during the course of the innings which will give an indication of his further participation in the match."

Also as good a bat as de Kock is he has got to start batting more responsibly. Horrid way to get out considering the situation
