Interesting to see if WI (see Gayle) try to win this quickly.

She's warming up! I guess everyone is entitled to have a bad match!

Reckon Gayle will try and knock this off within 10 overs. Pak's net RR is going to take a massive hit if he does

Embarrassing from Pakistan - they've been the UK the longest out of any of the sides so no excuse. Not sure why Malik was dropped.

Fair few empty seats so far in both games - quite a few yesterday. I imagine the majority of the ticket allocations have gone to the sponsors

Awful start to the tournament by Pakistan. I thought they would have acclimatised and had at least a competitive start...  :(

name 5 better...

oh and they cant all be yours...  ;)

Just go to the highlights package of any recent T20 tournament and you'll see 10 better boundary catches then that.

Exactly my thoughts on that Stokes catch...a good reflex made up for bad judgement. I felt it was more luck than skill honestly.

We talked about this at the club last night. A lot of non cricketers saying best catch ever because they didn't really  understand what they were watching. All the experienced cricketers just raised an eyebrow. Poor initial positioning, terrible read, then a lucky albeit admittedly spectacular desperate grab above his head.

ive got experience, started at 13 now 52, played a decent standard in the past and not a bad one in the last couple of years

I thought it was a stunning catch, up there with the best 10 maybe ive seen.

I understood exactly what I was seeing.

i agree with @ppccopener ive been playing 20 years (althoguh im only 26)

and it si in the top 5 catches ever,

jason roys last year in the bpl (i think) strauss ashes 2005, James taylor at cape town collingwood in the odi vs aus 2005

ok so there are probably more good catches but its all subjective.

Stokes took on in a t20 game to remove de villers which was good, maxwell in a t20 vs england too

what makes this one so spectacular for me is the ball was hit hard anf lat and stokes was horizontal when he took it and with a reverse cup one handed, all three factors make catching the ball more difficult

One that sticks out more recently is Kieron Pollard on the rope to a Maxwell slog in a Aus/WI ODI, but then again he's taken a few worldies

i will just leave this link here....... remember this...... everyone said they were done, wrote them off etc.... then look what happened.

8 out of that 11 played today - and that doesn't include Fakhar who came into the side.

http://www.espncricinfo.com/series/8037/scorecard/1022353/india-vs-pakistan-4th-match-group-b-icc-champions-trophy-2017

Look i am not saying they are going to win it at all, but i believe we have been here before....

I couldn’t care less about positioning etc, fact is he caught it when 99.5% of other players in professional cricket would have dropped that or probably wouldn’t have even attempted to catch it.
Iv been playing and watching cricket for 25+ years and a few at the club last night are 50+ years and couldn’t come up with many better catches from outfielders between us. Certainly one of the best ever catches even more so if you want to criticise the positioning or technical flaws

So poor from Pakistan you never know if they had played sensible cricket and the middle lower order had tried to use overs and get up towards 200 what could have happened but 105 is going to lose 99% of the time
