Not average in the 20s in international cricket?

To be fair, he is a vastly improved player since he last played in Australian colours and would walk into most sides on his form in all formats over the last 12 months. Don't take me on these number but over 1000 runs at over 60 in four day cricket and 600 runs at over 40 in the BBL.

The standards of Aussie domestic cricket really have dropped from the glory days haven't they!

More on the topic of today's game... this is not exactly shaping up to be a thriller is it.

It's still foreign to me that we look so good at ODI cricket

It would be fairly ignorant to deny that the standard is dropping in domestic cricket globally. Sheffield sheild and County Championship are certainly not immune to that fact.

It's good to see Matthews fight through his rut of recent times, hopefully Malinga can wind back the clock and the spinners can make use of a bit of turn in the surface so there can be a game made of this yet.

Wood and Archer bowling together great viewing for England fans.
Liked the way wood set up malinga classic 2  balls round his ears then does him with the Yorker.

Dictionary definition of 'inevitable' is:

If something is inevitable, it is certain to happen and cannot be prevented or avoided.

Cricketing definition of 'inevitable' is:

James Vince will nick off to slip
