Big statement that considering they're arguably the best 4 batsmen in the world right now in any format. Are you saying you wouldn't open with Smith, Root or Williamson instead of Vince right now if you were an England selector??! Or South Africa wouldn't have them all in their top 6 at present? Not to mention the lesser nations.
We aren't talking about playing for a particular country, I'm talking about a world XI  per se

And opening the batting is a specialist position, guys like Rohit, Finch, Roy and Warner would be the four openers I'd be selecting from.

Papers.... Internet forums. It’s hard to believe anything that you read these days. Always best to back up with research.

I’ve seen people on here claim there world beaters yet their play cricket claims they average less than 3.

Even then I'd fit them in a reckon. Open with one of Root or Williamson, then Kholi 3, Smith 4 and another whoever doesn't open either 5 or 6. Just my opinion but I get your argument. I'd just struggle to justify leaving any of them out.

Think Neesham has got the right idea to play a few shots now.

230-240 would be a good score from here

Bangladesh and england effectively beat them to qualify, but bangladesh would be based on net RR

Quality knock from Neesham - reckon he deserved a 100

Got a score on the board to bowl at on a difficult wicket

Didn't New Zealand win the toss and elected to bat first? Why did they choose to bat on a "difficult wicket"?

Slow wicket that's probably only going to get worse. You in the camp of bowling first on difficult wickets?

Got it.

I didn't know about the pitch condition except that NZ elected to bat first.

I think the former pros suggested that woakes wasn’t as wasteful as Archer or Wood. Messrs Atherton, Hussain and Clarke all at various commentary points suggested he’d been the unlucky bowler. Granted he couldve been fuller. The collective was too short for 10.30am helpful English conditions.

NZ carry on playing with 10 - Munro should;ve been dropped

Just the way England are playing one short with Vince in the playing 11.

If Roy is not withdrawn and replaced here is my team for the next game

Baristow, Ali, Root, Morgan, Stokes, Buttler, Woakes, Plunkett, Rashid, Archer, Wood (if Roy is fit he comes in for Ali/Rashid)
