Hi Mate, i am actually brisbane bat refurbishment, I have had quite a few weight reduction requests in the last few days. 4oz is a lot of weight but something that could be achievable. Removing stickers and the edge size reduction could get us there but happy to have a look

1-2oz acheiveable by slimming it down a bit, but 4oz is going to drastically change the overall profile of the bat as it’s a serious amount of wood.

Any before and after images? Requests from a customer are one thing actually achieving it is another as the wood will have a certain density to it meaning it’s weight will be dictated by being a bat with certain size to it.

Showed the bat to Bris bat refurb today. Happy that he was very impressed with the bat, specially the size.

Jono showed me that a large part of this bat has edges bigger that the legal limit of 40mm. Spine is 70mm.

He advised against weight reduction mainly because it is a nice bat as it is. He suggested that I sell it.

I am not going to sell it, will keep it.

I use light bats but always wanted a heavy beast like XP80 or GN giant ( already have couple of xp70s in 2.7lb) just as a novelty. So this can be that large bat which I always wanted but know that i might will never use it

By the way, Jono (Brisbane Bat Refurbishment) is such a decent bloke. I thought he was very knowledgeable about bats. Also very generous with his time and sharing ideas.

But he is a bad salesman. He was more interested in doing the right thing and helping me rather than in selling his service.
