Attendance should increase in the new year, as it generally always does.

Simple - blast has too many teams which dilutes talent. Also most t20 specialists rather play in the cpl

Aussies have done well filling big stadiums and getting the public to buy in to it - Bigger crowds than international games.

I agree the quality is on the downwards slope, cricket Australia should’ve probably allowed warner and smith to participate.

What difference would allowing smith and warner (both known cheats) to play do ??

Blast attendance rising year on year, BBL falling off a cliff. Finals Day is a proper event.

The IPL is a money laundering exercise second only to New York City.

Finals day for Blast is a corporate day and piss up..

As someone else said, you can’t compare a few k in englsnd to 25k in Aus. Maybe, just maybe it’s down to people getting bored of the format ? You don’t get as much ebb and flow, drama etc. If the product essentially produces the same game over and over (aka bowlers getting launched ball after ball) then peoooe will tire of it. Maybe all these competitions will naturally settle down to a more standard attendances?

IPL is dire though. Indians love it so it’ll continue for a fair while

Maybe you are right... think I enjoy 50 over 1 day game over a 20 20 game... it does get boring from a tactic point of view... it's wallop every ball...

Although playing it is great as you can squeeze in a game midweek after work. :D

@RPC/Blueroom Cricket - Adie

I go to Finals day every year. I’m not sure 20k people are all on a jolly...

Also, I think that Surrey and Middlesex and Lancashire and Somerset and Kent would kick back on the few thousand thing. It’s so easy to sit back and make sweeping generalisations without looking at the facts. But hey ho.

Well they are. They are there to get trashed as you see it every time. Go on then, how many do they get compared to the Aussies ?? 8/9/10/11k ? Pick on particulars if you want but in any discussion you have to be general or anyone can find any little thing to ‘prove’ it wrong

How many are at this finals day ? As many as at a standard BBL game ? Even if it’s close, that’s 4 counties in a final vs two clubs in a normal game too.

The blast is fine as a competition but people do like to BS it and finals day up. Bit like Edgbaston and the Hollis stand..

funny how simply stating another POV gets your vilified and abused. Lovely. Believe the blast is the greatest I’d you wish as. Finals day is what everyone aspires too. I’ve England are full of world class players too if you really want too.

ECB love people like that after all

Butler misses out on a 100

Last few games have been extremely poor and one sided. I suspect this will be another one sided game. International and domestic quality just isn’t there this season

Decent chase so far - possible recall to the aus team for wade? He’s been in good form in all formats

Is it just me or is the standard down this year? Scores seem lower but the pitches dont look much different than usual
