  i got a dragon series 50mm.

there is a 100% occurance of delaminated edges and toe very very early in their life. Sometimes even while knocking in.

Fully Agreed.

I have knocked in 2 DRAGONS recently and both started Cracking while knocking in. Bought from local Melbourne Store who import direct from CA pakistan. Refuse to knock those now.

This bat came in for repair the other day. Bats after 1st net against an old ball- this was knocked in and Fibretec'ed by the user. Drier than Sahara  :o

I agree with you that their quality has gone down slightly, as in not all 7 star bats are now the same. Grains are always good but weights can be 2.12+ and pickup not so smooth. I have sent a couple of handpicked bats to some forum friends and in my opinion they are better than bats twice their price.
Their 7 star bats have always been for 40,000 Pakistani rupees which is about 220 pounds here locally, while other companies have jacked their price up to twice as much for grade1+ bats. CA now has expanded their range to include a couple of sponsored player signature bats which are in my opinion as good as bats can get. These bats are now their top offerings and their best willow.

I've used ca 15000 for 2 years,12 ruler straight grains, 40mm edges, oiled 3 times properly, maybe 2 hours knocking in, helicopter protecting sheet applied, believe me there was not even 1 crack or any damage to be seen,
What I've seen is that guys don't even oil or knock them in at all, and start using in the nets,
But 15000 is a top bat and top seller.
Huge value for money, at that it retailed £250, if one knows how to handle it

too bad CA are gonna sell the same over-dried pieces of garbage now with the MORG stickers and charge a kidney for it

Very harsh I should say. I have used CA for many years and always impressed by their performance. CA 15000 PE costs around £250 and can easily be compared to any UK made top grade bat which would cost more than £400. Toe damaging issue is more to do with having square toe design than rounded toe....when you have square toe bat looks wider and gives you more confidence
but obviously have more chances to crack. CA PE bats are generally soft pressed and within few sessions they are ready to go...if you are more worried about breaking than performance then yes don't buy it...I would recommend buying GM in that case ...it will not break but off course it will take a year to open up.  :D....I had a GM Flare Limited Edition costs almost £500 but didn't open up even after a year to what CA was performing.

Watch this and have some knowledge please.

Im sorry im not sitting on a gold mine and i would rather have a bat that takes some time to open up but lasts long rather than an overdried bat thats really good performance wise but doesnt last 3 months. Im a very orthodox batsman and dont play helicopter shots against yorkers. Nor do i throw my bat at everything. And i take care of my equipment. Regulalry oil and refurb my bats. So no. My bat did not break because of misuse. Infact it lasted 3 months because i used it and took care of it. In more careless hands it wouldnt have lasted 2 games. I literally had to repair the bat after every net or game usage cause there would be some sort of crack somewhere. Sure i had a blast with the bat for as long as it lasted cause it pinged like a cannon but having spent in excess of 200 quid on it, it didnt justify its price. I definitely wont stand for a bat like that. Especially from a company that takes zero responsibility for their products. They dont even have any warranty against storm damage.

And coming back to my original point, i have seen the factory process first hand at Ca. There is no consistency. They will pick a random bat and put random stickers on them. There is absolutely zero difference between 2 SM18 or 15000PE. And then u will see another 15000pe with a duckbill toe, another with a rounded toe, another with spine into the toe. And i can bet a lot of money that this new morg bats will be exactly the same as any of the 15000pe or sm18 bats that u find in the market. There is going to be absolutely zero justification in the jump in price from 40k to 75k for just having morg stickers on them

I live in Pakistan, I have never seen a bat this fragile ever, CA or any other local/imported brand for that matter. Are you sure it was a cricket bat that you were using?

What did you expect mate? 50mm at 2.8/2.9. No wonder it didn't last.

I didnt know better then. I do now. And its not just that bat so its not a one off. The pattern is same with every single Ca bat i have come across. Delaminated edges, delaminated toes. Great ping but very poor longevity

This is a 2 season used bat. Around 1500 runs and 5-6 net sessions. I removed the scuffsheet and took these pictures

The key words being 2 seasons old. When did u buy it? Like i said before they used to be great not too long ago. Have u seen any of their 2019 bats? The 10000 and 12000 look like grade 4 while 15000 look like grade 3. The PEs now have so much heartwood and not straight grains anymore. Thats the illusion. They didnt "increase" the price of a Ca plus 15000 bat. They just started putting their 15000 stickers on bats that wouldv been on 8000 a couple of years ago

I think you just had a bad experience and yes that can happen with any brand...like I had with GM but that doesn't make them necessarily that bad. Anyway one question to you which UK brand offers a G1 bat in £250? I bought a B3 LE last year, its great I must accept it but i had to pay £425 so the point is if you are looking for a bat which performs well, have all the looks and lasts long then be prepared to pay the price :)
