46-2 Sam Curran with both. Curran should've taken the new ball tbh. Woakes and Broad wasted it bowling far too short.

We have successfully prepared a wicket here to play to the strength of the opposition bowling attack.  Pick an attack with oave bounce and spin then prepare a deck for 75mph dobblers

That catch right there is why Johnny bairstow should not be our keeper and if he refuses to bat 3 he shouldn't be in the side. Tit.

I think he needs someone to go after him to make him a bit more determined to actually perform.

Another drop off Broad, this time Root. You wouldn't guess that Ireland were the new team to Test cricket if you judged the slip catching...

you know one of the worse things about these drops is the fact that everyone will start saying the Broad..... 'bowled really well, and had 2 drops, and didn't get what he deserved' etc.... etc....

Not talking about the absolute tripe he threw down wasting the new ball!
