My first senior bat was a GN scoop 2000 as used by Lara was bought for my 13th birthday I think from Lilly Whites, didn�t last long and my dad then took me to Salix and I had a Vantage made for me by Kember, started my love for the brand

GN Powerspot that I pretty much pinched off my dad as he had pretty much finished playing by then.

Still got it in the garage but its in a poor state - I started a project to refurb it back to past glories but never got around to it - must pick that one back up and get it finished.

Symonds Tusker shared with my older brother. The next one was SG Sunny Tonny.

When fresh of the boat in 1984 my team mate let me use his DF and I still remember the feel of that bat. Wish there was a way to get similar shape bat from DF and keep the cost down

I remember Paul Aldred talking about the DF Magnum profile, as one of the reasons behind his starting his operation. For sure he could recreate it for you, and if you chose butterfly willow it would be very reasonably priced. It wouldn't be a Magnum from DF, but you'd be close.
