MST helmet, upcoming helmet brand from Pakistan

Hey guys. please check out my thoughts on this upcoming helmet. It is soon going to be the first brand from Pakistan to conform to BS7928:2013. as of yet, this is their top of the range helmet and costs less than GBP20 excluding postage. I gave them a try because they stand apart from those who make garbage replicas of masuris and shreys in the region

Not on the list.
Its not on the list because it doesn't conform to the standard yet. I said soon to be because they're in the process. Please watch the video :)

It looks like a cheap replica of a Shrey to me...

Because i have seen the cheap replicas and i have used the best shrey has to offer and i have used this. There is a big difference between taking inspiration and ripping off.

So the peak is flexing from pushing a ball through by hand.

This is not 'almost there' as suggested in the video. The test involves firing a ball at high speed from near point blank range.

The helmet will require a redesign, and a price rise as a result.

That is indeed true. It does flex and in a test it is likely to fail. Though i feel a stronger material used could change that dramatically. And offcourse the cost will increase as the compliance comes. It is still decent option for amateur cricket

That is correct. And they have about 4 different types of camo designs. And they can also do a complete custom job for whatever you want it to look like. My teammate has ordered one with the PCB logo on it

None of the above actually. They just caught my eye and im glad someone from my country is finally attempting to get the BSI certification. They used to make helmets compliant with the 1999 standard before and I have been guiding and encouraging the owner to get accreditation and arranged a copy of the 7928:2013 standard for them.

I actually purchased the helmet at full price just to review it, and will be giving it away to a teammate who cant afford a decent helmet

It's a shrey looking helmet with a masuri looking grille that they are selling and making profit on at 20 quid..

it might look nice, but they need to be cutting an outrageous amount of safety and quality corners to do so.

you get what you pay for, especially when it comes to safety equipment.

I cant disagree to that. But you gotta understand the region to know what im talking about. Everyone is trying to make counterfeit shreys and masuris. The shell is shrey inspired but the faceguard is more like Forma than masuri. As i mentioned in the video, i cant recommend it for 100% safety but it gets full marks for build quality.
