Gonna try and update regularly on the bats I'm shaping as I go along this year, as it's the kind of thing I love to see on the forum, so hope others like the posts 

Here's a couple I've had on the go on the past few days since I've finally had some time and willow.....

First is a G2. Can't really see the grains but it's really clean and is gonna be a lovely bat as taps up really well.





Next is a G3/Butterfly. Lovely grains on the face apart from the knot/stain. Still taps up really well tho, so although no looker it'll be a lovely stick.

Thanks mate appreciate the feedback. Do you mean the back sticker at you're top needs moving down 3 inches? Seems a lot.

Actually, Wazza08's first shot where he's moved them down an inch or so looks right to me. Nice.

Those two look great! Bit of a Chase low middle profile happening on the Grade 3 it seems.

Thanks mate. Thought I'd make that up with the lower middle as the blemish is fairly high. Both go really well tho, with the G3 having smaller edges, slightly higher spine but more concaving than the G2.

Thanks mate really appreciate that and I agree, seeing other people's work and sharing knowledge is the best thing about this forum imo.

Nice work, I like the shape too.
The sad thing about polishing the bats to the 'Northern Monkey' standard is that people don't look after them and in a couple of months you can't even tell that it ever looked that good. I saw a bat last night at training that I refurbed for a bloke, it looks like he's been keeping it in a cement mixer! Some people are just vandals.

Thanks fellas. I agree, it's a lot of work for what can be a short lived effect obviously.

However I just want to do the best work I can. So whether it's a refurb or new bat, seeing it all shiny and new is rewarding for me. At least I know at the point I'd handing it over it looked as good as it could.
