Long blade custom on the go, Grade 1 and requested 2lbs 13oz. Needs refining and then sanding, so will finish bang on.

Thanks mate. Constantly check the pick up as I go to ensure it feels nice and balanced. I try to get a high spine all the way up and plenty in the shoulders/up top as you say. Love this shape personally.

Lovely shape pal! Like what you�ve said about keeping some weight up in the shoulders. I always prefer the look of a bat that keeps a consistent gradient of the spine into the handle/splice area rather than flattening out.

How are your plans for 2021 softs getting on with everything that�s going on at the moment?

It's something I think a lot of other batmakers, including some big names like Keeley, don't do so well sometimes. I had a Kippax a while ago that felt hugely bottom heavy despite having the thickest shoulders I'd ever seen on a bat.

Thanks mate, appreciated. I'll obviously make to whatever the customer wants, but if asked will always try to make sure they think about the balance rather than just dead weight. Lots of people ask for 40mm edge and 67mm spine, but without thinking of the rest.

Softs are underway and should be here within weeks all being well. Process has been lengthy, as I've constantly been tweaking things in the design.

A long blade finished up today. Big bat which only just fits through the gauge with minimal concaving at 2lbs 13oz. Was requested between 2lbs 12oz and 2lbs 14oz, so right in the sweet spot!

Been working on a few new developments recently, which are almost there now. So hopefully get to reveal them soon!

Thanks mate. Yeah it's got plenty of coverage and so should be a beast! Trying to ensure all bats I make have good volume through the hitting area, rather than peaking sharply. Even if just visual it seems to work for me
