Got a little bored earlier after finishing up an order, so decided to shape up a big bat.

Currently 2lbs 12oz with a bit to do still, so should end up a touch over 2lbs 13oz. Its about 39mm edge and 72mm spine with only a touch of concaving up near the shoulder, nothing from the hitting area.

As always would love any feedback. Don't tend to get much and it's really helpful to hear opinions. Thanks all....

Looks dangerous @jonny77 72mm spine is mega!

One thing ive subsequently noticed with mine when having a tap is that the toe is actually very slightly thicker on the inside edge. And that one looks to be aswell, although I appreciate that one isn't finished.

This doesnt bother me in the slightest, its one of the tiny idiosyncrasies of getting a hand made bat.

Thanks fellas. Always seem to be constantly trying to get to lighter and lighter weights for people, so it's nice to keep some heft in one.

@alba caerulea, that's annoying! 🤨 Can't be by much, 1mm? If it bothers you I'll happily take it back. Not that it will affect performance in anyway.

You can see the line on this one along the toe, which is where it will finish, so still some to take off yet to level it up.

Probably less than a ml mate. Not bothered atall as I said, didn't even notice it until the 6th or 7th session of knocking in and had to have a good look from the toe up to confirm.

Just some feedback!

Phew! Would have been surprised and disappointed if it would have been out. Always striving for perfection, but less than a mm I can live with. Appreciate the feedback tho and hope it's coming along nicely

72mm spine making the 39mm edge look small 😅

Great craftsmanship as always Jonny, just a question, no criticism and it might just be the angle of the photo. Is the handle straight set or angle showing it almost backward set? Any reason for this? Or is just a camera trick.

Keep up the brill work!

Thanks mate, that's the plan and hopefully I can keep it up. As long a people are willing to buy my bats I'll keep making, as really do love it and just want to get better and better.

This was from a part made I had left from a while ago, so actually didn't handle it myself. It's straight but not back set. You can see the end of the handle slightly ahead when looking from the toe up the face.

Thanks mate. Managed to get it finished off. Gutted tho as there's a small crack on the inside edge. Only minor and can hardly be seen but it's there, although glued and solid. Shame tho. It's finished 2lbs 11.7oz fully dressed and picks up really nice imo. 39mm edge, 70/71mm spine.

As always, let me know what you think....

Also finished off a weight reduction and refurb on this Aussie stick. Was 2lbs 12oz and very very bottom heavy. Now 2lbs 9.5oz and feels so much better.
