Did Mr James give you a demonstration? Are you getting the hang of it?

Ha ha, no mate he didn't. I'd pressed before at another batmakers and had plenty of guidance previously. Guess people will be the judge, but i wouldn't send a bat out which i didn't feel was good enough

Popped in today to pick up a pair of pads from @jonny77 . Had a look at a few of the bats pressed by him. Pressing was as good as anything out there.

Also the new stickers do look better in person. It's great watching a local brand evolving and making great strides.

Can’t wait to get my Scott in for a refurb at the end of the year to get some of those new stickers slapped on. Black and gold and white and chrome for me

Amongst loads of other stuff going on, managed to make a couple for forum members (appreciate the support guys!)

Top one is a beaut and one i pressed. Lovely JS175 G2 with good sized edges and spine height. Think it came in just under 2lbs 11oz, but in a slightly shorter blade itvfeels really nice.

Bottom one was a G3 and based on customer requirements similar tl my JS175 but with a slightly higher middle. Nice thick oval handle, good size and just under 2lbs 10oz

Hopefully people are enjoying the pictures still. A few more made up for customers this week.

First is in my LS200 mid profile, 2lbs 9oz and a nice looker too...

Second was for a forum member, so you might see pictures of it fully stickered up soon all being well. In the low JS175 profile, big toe, thick shoulders and as full as possible requested. Came in just under 2lbs 11oz fully dressed. A lovely Grade 2 and will hopefully score him plenty! 😁

Love that thickness through the toe.

The profile looks beluga-like.

Thanks mate, appreciate the comments. Customer requested as thick a toe as possible and I'd say it qualifies as thick! 😆 This one isn't the norm, but that saidalways keep the toes thick and no less than 20mm generally.

Not sure about the Beluga, that's a one off in terms of profile i reckon. I suppose the duckbill has similarities tho.

These look awesome mate, well done. The first one (LS200 mid profile, 2lbs 9oz) in particular sounds like exactly what I'd have ordered, and looks perfect. Might have to try and convince my wife to release more budget for cricket stuff this winter. Out of interest, because pictures can be deceiving, but what shape of handle do you typically go with or is it customer dependent?

Thanks mate, appreciate you taking the time to comment. My stock bats are semi oval, medium thickness. Nothing too skinny. However, obviously for custom orders I'll shape them to customers requirements.

Just a quick praise post for Jonny!  I had the pleasure of purchasing a Scott bat yesterday, all the way from Australia.  It was such an easy and pleasurable experience, I certainly dont think it will be my last.  I had a few queries for him along the way and he was only too happy to provide his responses, no matter how dull or inconsequential my queries were.  As a true believer in proper, old school, bat-making, I am driven to support proper craftsmen, in the face of endless below par sticker brands, shonky 'sausage factory' manufacturers and those BIG NAMES who are only too happy to rort the paying customer.  Cheers Jonny, big thumbs up from me mate and I hope more consumers get to understand how easy it is to get quality, without a disgusting retail mark-up.  Go well.

Thanks mate, appreciate the kind words. None of your worries were dull or inconsequential, always prefer people to all questions (or sensible ones at least 😆) and make sure they're happy with what they'll receive. Your bats making its way to you as I write this!
