Poor decision by Williamson to bowl first. The pitch was grassy but it wasn't anyway near as bowler friendly as the visitors assumed.

Also the Kiwis are handicapped by having a pathetic spinner in santner, he can't bowl for toffee.

Have to agree unfortunately, Santner is worthless as a spinner in Test cricket. We have some great spinner as well. Ajaz Patel is sharp.

It’s a pleasure to watch Wagner bowling and he is always smiling.

Gotta admire Australia - they never stay down for long. Within two series they are back to being formidable- Warner, labuschane, smith, head.. and eventually Carey make their batting superb, and now with starc tweaking his action and gaining consistency, they now have the worlds best bowling attack. What a cricketing powerhouse.

Labuschane has been the key difference. Warner has always been good at home as it doesn’t move. Suddnely someone who literally is scoring 50 every time makes the line up tick as the lesser players like head etc suddnely come in against a old ball and tired attack. Basically, if England could do that at 1-4 then 5/6/7 of stokes, pope and buttler would be devastating

I reckon England would see similar results if they had an opener with a bit of consistency. Root, Stokes, Pope et al against a tired bowling attack and an old ball? Would back that every day.

Root, stokes, pope and buttler (or foakes) would be fearsome if we had a top three who found consistently bat long

Wagner’s bounced out the great Steven Smith in every innings so far. Wagner seems to be in Smith’s head

Doesn't hurt that Wagner is a quality bowler in the form of his life! Smith has also still managed to score a fair few runs as well mind.

Poor captaincy from Kane to opt to bowl first. Not sure I see many away games won batting second..Dont think NZ will win batting first either but just makes it but more competitive if they batted first..

Really feel for Wagner, the guy bowls his heart out, then contributes even with bat. Just no support whatsoever from other end be it bowlers or batsmen..that guy can't  even rest for a day after that continuous bowling effort for 2 days against that mighty aussie lineup, in top form in their home conditions..

New Zealand will get walloped but Wagner continues his stronghold over Smith, 4 from 4. Wagner also raced to 200 Test wickets, second fastest Kiwi after the legendary Sir Richard Hadlee. Wagner 42 wickets in his last 6 matches. Outstanding
