Payntr 2020 range. Thoughts?
« on: January 27, 2020, 04:59:20 PM »

The new Payntr shoes are up on their site. Last years were ridiculously good, and I really liked the clean looks (the white ones anyway). What’s everyone’s thoughts on the 2020 range? I know comfort should be the most important factor, but aesthetically they look a bit of a mess (in my humble opinion anyway).

The 2020 styling looks awful in my view but then I prefer the minimalist look which isn't a feature of a lot of modern cricket kit sadly.  It is the fit that is most important though and i have found that to be terrible.  I haven't tried this year's model on thing so can't comment on that aspect

I feel they have lost their uniqueness. They just look like any other generic cricket shoes now

They're not awful but definitely prefer the colour scheme on the 2019 range.

I agree with this, they aren't much different aesthetically now from other brands

I think the new bowling boot looks great. I suspect they are trying to offer a different style of shoe to suit different markets. They are still doing the previous model.

The trainers are yuck.

Cricket shoes aren't much different to anything else on the market.

Prices seem a bit high in my opinion.

In short, I'm not a fan!

Not a fan personally. Really liked their previous shoes, it’s just a shame they fell apart after 18 games

Still trying to return my Black Friday purchase, once in a blue moon you may get a reply and then nothing. Had to escalate to paypal now and it has totally put me off using them.

Shame, as I'd like to support a British company.

Yikes, that’s not good. Like the esteemed CBF forum member above, I am a fan of the 2020 Puma 19.1s, so am going to use those for fielding and slow left arm filth, and the 2020 NB CK10 when I put on a batting masterclass.
