I'm not bothered about the no ball. Didn't one of the men's pros develop a special 2 bounce delivery a few years back that got people out a lot? (before the rules changed).

I like watching women's cricket, but I don't find it very useful technically because it's all about gently lofted sweeps and slogs to long on, not many good ground shots or straight shots. The bowling looks quite slow, but I'm sure the pace would challenge decent club players. Maybe long format games are different from a stroke making perspective though, I haven't seen many of those
Some Worcs 2nd teamer did but not sure if he actually ever bowled it in a proper game.

I probably watch 300+ "top level" T20 games a year, and I can say with reasonable certainty I've not seen a double bounce delivery get a wicket. Let alone at the showpiece of a T20 World Cup opener between 2 of the best sides.
And you still haven't.

Why is a leg spinner accidentally bowling a double bouncer such a big deal? It’s a leggies version of a “harmy”

The salient point with the Denly incident is that no one tried to extrapolate that one-off moment of poor cricket to pass judgment on the overall standard of the game

Good thing that nobody is doing this here then eh... Easy to try and straw man somebody and put words into their mouth.

If you read my other comments you'll see I praise various aspects of the women's game and stress how it is improving year on year. As I said before though, for some reason it's sacrilege to criticise any element without risking the wrath of the woke.

It's only "such a big deal" because people don't like hearing criticism of the womens game. If it happened in a women's game, rules are it's ok and you must focus on the positives. Bring up Harmison's first ball in Aus all you like though. It's cool. Dems the rules

Thank goodness you didn't see the fumbled Aus stumping otherwise you would have been mortified rather than merely disheartened in a World Cup opener between two of the best sides ;)

God bless the PSL!

Thank goodness the PSL is the epitome of everything cricket should aspire to

Eyes on for the double bouncer! Tbf Moeen has just bowled a full bunger which almost got a wicket so maybe it's all about well constructed bad deliveries as Ashwin believes.... Anddd as I speak hes bowled a length ball and got Fakhar caught at cow corner. Funny old game

Ah it's really not is it, we're going round in circles and it's getting facetious. Think I'm done on the topic...

Until WI vs Thailand tomorrow  ;)

SA vs Aus t20 is a dire one. Least the women’s WC game was more entertaining
