What a ridiculous statement.
So basically in your view even those businesses/individuals working from home should all stop? Because the vast majority of them require infrastructure and services beneath and around them. And I dont just mean the cricket industry.
I thing you are very wrong and that is certainly not what has been advised.
Working from home doesn't require other services in the same way that delivery services do. The very premise of it in this situation is that it gets you away from people. In my job, when I work from home, I see no one other than my household. That is the same for almost everyone.
What has been advised is very very clear. All non essential work stops. If you don't understand that then you are part of the problem.
We will soon be in a total lockdown where everyone is housebound without special exception because of people that aren't following the crystal clear advice.
Everyone should be working from home or not working with the exception of food suppliers, Royal mail, essential construction (such as the nightingale hospital) , and supermarkets. Even they should be running a skeleton service.
The government now have schemes in place for the self employed and employed in order to stop the need to work.
The self employed scheme can give you up to nearly 3k a month to survive on while this situation is going on. As long as you haven't tried to cheat the system.
