WEKA cricket
« on: April 04, 2020, 08:26:34 PM »

Hi all,

Just seen a Facebook post from Laver and Wood about WEKA cricket.
https://wekacricket.com/

Is this the same model as Salix and HitsHard?

Thoughts?

Why would this have anything to do with Salix??
Bit out of order bringing any reputable brand in to this.

Salix had an associated brand called HitsHard, hence I referred to that business model. Unless I’m missing something, I don’t see how it’s out of order. But feel free to enlighten me.

Your original post, "Is this the same model and Salix and HitsHard?", makes no real sense because of the double and. If you change the first 'and' to 'as' it is clear that you're comparing it in business model only, but with the double and it does potentially imply that this is also owned by the same people who own Salix. Perhaps edit your original post to avoid further confusion?

Back to the topic in hand, very little to go on but I don't see what is special about them? Apart from having countdowns?

Looking at it in more detail the bats start from 2lb 10oz upwards, so I assume this is an avenue for getting rid of the higher density clefts.

If the weights work for you then the prices are certainly better than the usual L&W prices, no brainer in that respect if you want something Laver made.

Edited as rightfully suggested. Apologies for the confusion, making no real sense and being out of order. 😉

Seems that a few of these have made it stateside to a decent cricket shop and they look really nice in the pics. I like the stickers at least and the shapes look great.
Probably between them and the GN Williamson Delta for my favourite bats this year.
