We've had one first team session, colts teams are starting to train a bit and just about every session is booked up at the moment. Looking at an 11th July restart and getting senior trainings back on Thursdays, ones training Sundays until then.

Lots of nets are not open. Ours are in a local school grounds, so they are not going to be keen to let us in any time soon, I guess. I have been netting at a big local club that owns its own grounds and nets.

I’ve been trying this at a club near me but you have to be a member, and I can’t be a member of two clubs in the same league structure at the same time, even if I pay £1 for social membership to the second club.

Cricket doesn’t help itself, does it...

As predicted: you can now do basically anything you like, most of them far, far riskier than cricket. Shop, cinema, pub, go to the zoo, stay in a hotel, stay over at your mates house, get your hair cut, get your nails done. Everything except cricket. Its enough to think that the ECB have spent the last 3 months furiously lobbying against the resumption of the recreational game.

A cricket ball is a natural vector of desease.

Basically using the handling of the ball as the excuse. I’m starting to lose hope now.

Fortunately, a baseball isn't, so I'm just going to play baseball instead. Problem solved.

Absolute Shambles! Wish ECB grew a pair and took a call. Watching the premier league games over the week, made me laugh regarding social distancing etc.

Revenue wise, it’s not beneficial for the ECB/sky sports for recreational cricket to start. They’d rather have people watch the West Indies series given how much they’ve spent on bringing them here

The scientist from SAGE , who’s a club cricketer, addressed what needed to be done to bring back recreational cricket over a month ago in an article in The Cricketer, why hasn’t this been acted upon? You just need a bottle of hand sanitizer behind each stumps. Guernsey showed how it has to be done 3 weeks ago in their first game. Precious time is being wasted and we will lose players, maybe forever

7 more Pakistan players and one staff tested positive. Suffice to say I'm not sure that tour will be happening...
