Seems like quite a high middle, if you're looking for UK sales is there much of a market for that?

Looks a bit high, but I guess you've left enough wood lower down for powerful driving

The swell is higher on this than the other two for sure but makes it totally different to the other two shapes.

Personally used mid/high or higher middles bats for the last few years and find no problem at all from a personal perspective

Looks a cracker! I like a higher middle as I cut and pull a lot, but I also find most higher middle bats respond well lower down too.

Love this shape mate.
The other thing is I am a firm believer that bat makers/companies should offer a range of shapes including 1 high middled bat, otherwise you are losing a customer profile.
Not enough brands do this in my opinion.

Morning @six and out thanks for your comments. I personally do agree with you that there should be a range of shapes that offer a choice without having to many if that makes sense. I feel this shape sits nicely with the other two that it’s A) spine into toe and B) higher middle.

My own personally view is that the notion that bats have high middle, low middle, mid/low etc is a little bit of nonsense to a degree. You can move the swell or the bat to different points on the bat that in my opinion alters the shape and the balance but the overall performance area of a bat by and large stays the same. I can’t see iv noticed any real difference when playing from using a GM noir which is a (low middle) to an M&H Harliquin which shape wise would be classed as high middle.

Again just my view

Couldn’t agree more mate - said it multiple times.
New shape looks good mate - scored my first ever hundred with a bat the same shape.

I'm sorry if I disagree on this,
Middle do make difference, as high middle bats might feel meaty and pick up better than anything else, depending on their weight but mid low bats do feel more powerful according to their weight

So a mid-low bat in a lower weight (2-9?) won't "feel more powerful"?

You could have a high middle bat that picks up like absolute garbage if it's balanced wrong, personally think the balance (which is down to the skill of the maker) has more to do with how the bat will feel.

The more the weight more power, 2lb 9oz is classed as light weight.

love the high middle, duckbill profiles. always feel great in nets. just a shame that the majority of wickets we play on round here are lucky if it gets above ankle height.

Reminds me of an old SAF a teammate had or even the old Newbery gt335.

Nice work mate - personally wouldn't attract me BUT that's not to say it isn't well thought out though!

Mid low do “feel more powerful” is plain wrong.

Take a high middle bat 2.9 and a low middled bat 2.9 they will both hit the ball just as far if pressed correctly.

What you might be referencing is that you “feel” the weight more in a mid low middled bat and therefore you feel like you have more weight behind the ball, but middle position has no effect on how “powerful” a bat is

Agree with you to an extent but the swell you mentioned should be in a spot where you hit the most. The overall performance area will stay the same in most bats but the most pingy zone, aka the sweet spot should be the biggest in the part where you hit the most. That is a front foot player should have it a bit lower down and a back foot player the opposite etc. But then again for most club cricketers, we don't hit the middle often enough to really notice a massive difference in the sweet spot position etc.

Looks a nice shape that Soulman, nice and flowy even if it's a big high middle for my tastes!

Shouldn't derail the thread really, but the shape of a bat definitely has an affect on how it responds in different areas - that really shouldn't be up for debate.
