Is the willow and wand on the red only backwards for me?

Yes mate but only because I flipped the image to fit into a layout for social media

You'll be glad to know you're not losing it 😅 suspect it will be from  the pictures being stitched together.

Like the new stickers, big improvement on the previous iteration.

Cheers for the feedback

Couple of G1 bats finished for the same customer. A stock AM18 profile at 2lb 8.7 and a copy of a TON bat at 2.10. Both superb grain wise and at £329 offer pretty good value. Both finished in the new Gold and Black stickers. AM18 had 33mm edge 19mm toe at edge and 26mm at centre of toe. Ton copy has 36mm edges, 21mm at edge and 29mm at centre of toe and unlike every ton iv ever seen it’s full width lol.

AM18 on the left, copy on the right in first couple of pics

Another G1 finished off today in the SL06 profile which is a modern “players” shape with a square toe vs the AM18 with the traditional rounded toe shape. 2.10 finished weight with 33mm edges and full profile. This one has one of the sample colour sets of stickers which I didn’t release as thought they were similar to the gold. Opinions ok this colour option??

Custom shape based on the specs of the customers current match bat, blade length, handle length and size, edge, toe and shoulder thickness all matched and finished 0.5oz heavier than the current match bat.

One of the nicest clefts iv ever worked with just so easy to shape and lovely tight grains

Been a quiet month of Aug with being on holiday and also coming towards the end of the season. Lots of repairs etc but a few new bats made up that I’ll share for those that maybe interested.

First up was a new bat for myself. Had an awful season with the bat so thought what better way than a new want. Shorter blade longer handle AM18 as is my preference with a mid/high middle and duckbill toe. Pretty simple shape but one I really like to make and use.  Nothing to write home about in terms of specs 2lb 8.6oz so lighter then I have been using, 32mm edges Grade 3 cleft

Next up was a custom shape or copy of his existing bat for a young academy player at Yorkshire CCC who I was lucky enough to get to know via an old friend who had recently got a new job at the county. Lovely players shape really in standard length blade and handle. 2lb 10oz without stickers but including grip and scuff, 35mm edges and full shape. Grade 2 cleft

Great bats as usual.
Terrible season for me and eldest son has also just nabbed my Garrard bat so maybe a new bat over the winter is the answer!

Thanks mate appreciate the feedback.

To be honest iv had 2 terrible seasons with the bat albeit I don’t play as much as I used to and don’t bat where iv always batted but still just been pretty poor so decided a new bat was needed. Old one has been donated to a lad that’s scored over 2000 runs with an earlier WW I made so rewarded him with my bat lol

So alongside the bats I also offer a simple range of softs with a single pad, split and sausage glove option. All made from a leading manufacturer and top level kit.

Recently there has been a lot of questions around softs and the requirements of them and seems to vary from county to county but took the plunge on a small order to now include some Navy coloured softs. Appreciate your views and if you’re at all interested can check out my website or message me.

Just to give people an idea these are the 3 stock profile shapes
Right is the AM18 - 1/2 shorter blade longer handle mid/low middle traditional toe
Middle is the SL06- 1/2 shorter or traditional blade and handle mid/high middle modern square toe.
Left is the EH21 - mid middle spine blends into the toe vs duckbill toe on the other two traditional toe

Morning all. Not shared much regarding Willow and Wand recently which if I’m honest is mainly due to the fact that engagement vs time to upload is the main reason but thought as I uploaded a few pics of the GN powerspot I’ll do a few W&W ones.

So couple of things iv been looking at since the end of the season.  Firstly new shape iv been working on for 2024 using a 1 inch shorter blade/longer handle set up. Just trying to make these as big as possible but at realistic weights.  Iv used a shorter blade set up for years and to me they do just work so much better. This has come about as a pure T20 swing it and smash it bay and will be best suited to a weight range of 2lb 12oz and above to get those 37/38mm edges, fairly full shape and 63/65mm spine.

Secondly was that with the rapidly increasing costs of all materials involved in making a bat etc iv in the last years had to move from not being able to offer a bat below the £200 mark using the G1,G2 and G3. Iv still managed just about to keep the top grade below £350 so wanted to ensure I was able to get back to offering  sub £200 handcrafted bat. So Iv managed to find a supplier and will be offering a sub £200 bat for 2024. This will be the same price as Butterly and the range will be G4 and Butterfly clefts
