Reminds me of the old Newbery GT shape...

Now you mention it, it does a bit. That’s when Newbery made great bats

With it being new release time thought I would share what’s new for 2025 and it’s simply a new couple of designs and colour ways in the labels
Gone for Matt black with chrome and embossed logo and really happy with how they have come out

This was a copy of his previous W&W 2.10 finished grade 1 willow semi oval handle

This is a stock shape SL06 in grade 4 willow

Just in case anyone is interested in here I have kept my prices for 2024/2025 the same as last year despite the now increase of 8-12% in willow prices as I ordered heavily last year so be able to stay true to the reason I started W&W that was high quality at prices I feel club players can justify
Grade 1 £389
Grade 2 £329
Grade 3 £259
Grade 4 £199 - These are limited

Pads £80 gloves £70 and bundle £120
Wheelie duffle £70

Has been in the range since the beginning and well refined now can do with either a mid/low or mid middle. This is the mid middle profile. Personally think the green and yellow really stands out

Not been a huge fan of the stickers to be honest, but the chrome ones look banging.

Thanks for the feedback. Design work and I.T are not strong points of mine but by and large feedback is positive on the design so I think this will be the 3rd year using this design just trying to refine them with the Matt background, texturing and chrome embossing.

Yeah, you'll never appeal to everyone, so wasn't a criticism. Just a note that the new ones are a big jump. In my opinion anyway  :)

Evening all.

So tried my hand at a couple of Jnr bats. These are made from adult part mades that had some damage and splits from pressing and machining that meant they would have made thin edges traditional shaped bats that in this day and age are a hard sell I’ve found.
First is a G1 size 3 that had a little storm damage and a small split and really pleased with how this came out. Lovely shape very similar to the adult AM18 shape I make a lot of. I’ve never tried my hand at these really so the stickers I have are designed for adult bats so made up the decals from the old vinyl I used to lay over the Matt WW stickers to give a chrome effect when I first started. Weight is 1lb 3oz

Next one is a size 4 and he asked for a Dhoni style bat as that his favourite player and I rember him having a very round toe on his SS bats so tried to copy that. Fuller shape needs finishing off but again pretty happy. This had a split in the toe from pressing so was able to cut all that away and plane the width down will aim to get this to finish about 1lb 6oz to 1lb 7oz

I'm not a fan (of the mega rounded toes) but the Dhoni bats I've seen have been even more rounded, like proper half circle.

Do think this looks better though.

@SOULMAN1012 Chris, great work on that Dhoni profile bat. Very impressed.

Thank you helped to get the size as was 3-4inch up an adult cleft when sawn but pleased how it came out. Very helpful having a bandsaw now and not just on sanding alone to round the toe on these.
