From my own experience i find it really depends on what type of artificial wickets you play on.
We play on a one type which is more plastic based (like the old hockey pitch material) and the popping creases are worn and almost polished which it doesn't matter if you wear cricket, football or hockey soles (I've tried all) you're going to never really trust that front foot.
If you play on the more modern carpet type then i find any trainer that has a rubber sole rather than a foam works really well and i'm currently just using my Adidas Ultra boosts
