Potts reminds me an awful lot of Scott Boland. Maybe a few mph short on speed, but compact, accurate and harrying the stumps.

Awful kit, the collar and lack of buttons is the worst part me for....also it's stark white. 🤮

Agree re the kit, but like the filet- but not for £60 thanks! Why don’t we get a traditional jumper like the other sides, like NZ and Aus?Crawley is a frustrating case.

Someone explain to me why, aside from playing for the right county, Pope got the nod over Brook?

Would rather Brook was left out than played out of position mind. They've destroyed Pope by messing him around in different positions and roles.

Yes, and there is an argument that Foakes was luckier than Pope for the Surrey old boys. But at least Brooks has batted in the top 3, is in the form of anyone's life and has not already been found out at Test level. Pope looked like getting out most every ball.

Pope is just average. There’s been no improvement since that only test hundred he scored.

Well, Harry Brook must be sitting there thinking that this is making him look like a legend!

We missed a chance to play Brook here, bang in form and Pope has all the talent in the world but is not a number 3 and has had twice as many chances as Lawrence who is actually fit-maybe too late to make this squad.

I’m sure this will not be a popular view but with the current availability of batsmen to England from the Counties Root should bat 3.

You then don’t have to bash square pegs in round holes in the order.

And yes I know his record at 4 is outstanding.
