Certainly set up for a great finish. The pessimist in me says that we have a very long tail and 1 more wicket and it's trouble plus its going to be ideal bowling conditions this morning. But must be positive!!! And Root and Foakes are going to knock this off, as it's only 60 left, the balls already 65 overs old and worse case Broad and Potts are worth at least 30 between them. Easy!!
Radical solution but... one of the issues Foakes faces at 7 ahead of 10, 10, jack and jack is that he is an accumulator rather than an aggressive player. He bats up the order for Surrey (admittedly only 5) but could he perhaps do a job at 3 or 4? That would help so many of our other best options fit in more naturally.
