Yes, really excited if this is Albion coming back with the new standards compliance. Also the description says rounder helmet, so would benefit those of us who struggled with the almost all oval shaped helmets currently in market.

Cheers Adam. Can see the base model being very popular at that price!

Just to give some context I hate wearing a helmet even though I know I should, the old Albion ones were the only type I could tolerate. I bought a very expensive Masuri a couple of years ago and I've hardly used it as I just can't get it to feel comfortable.

When I saw this topic I went straight on PDS and bought one of the lower end ones, it arrived yesterday and it's excellent. It does seem more round than oval and comes with a huge range of adjustable padding. I batted in it last night for a while, the grille seems wide and I didn't lose sight of the ball which I have found on other makes. It's very light and crucially really well ventilated.  Came with a cloth bag for storage too which considering the price point I thought was a nice extra touch.

Very pleased they are back in the market. Thanks to whoever posted this in the first place.

Good to know it worked out. Yea, I had same issue, none of the modern helmets fit my rounder head, good to know C&D are making the Albion range which has round shape (the balance range has the oval shape FYI). Also the Albion looks really good and the gap between grill and top seems slightly larger than the Shreys at least in the pics, so should help visibility and a good thing as long as the safety standards are met.

If possible, can you weigh the helmet and let me know along with the size you got.

Ooh, interesting. Annoyingly bought a new GN helmet (its ok) at start of year but would be keen to look at one of these options for the more rounded headed ones like me. Plus not so keen on cloth covered as tend to find they snag on something  - thank you

I've only got the little scales so it won't fit I'm afraid, I can say it is significantly lighter than the Masuri.

The gap in the grill certainly seems wider, not sure if it's a manufacturing trick or not because the gap is still smaller than a ball but either way I like it.

I got the standard adult size but I usually get a large in Masuri and had no issues with the fit at all.

Ok, thanks for the info. The price is also very attractive, you can get the titanium one for same price as steel helmet in Masuri/Shrey.

The Balance helmet looks like the old '98 which is a good thing. If I feel like a new helmet I can try that. If I don't then it looks like I can use the padding of the Balance on my '98.
