For sure Keeley charging the best price they can is understandable, but it's not a situation that's without losers - boosting prices because you can still pulls the whole market upwards, which isn't great for the end consumer. Easy for a smaller maker to justify high prices when Keeley is sending them out the door at £800, and even necessary at times as really the only thing separating two similar bats from different brands is the branding. Sell yours cheaper and many consumers will view them as inferior products.
I guess the real losers would be us bat badgers who would see our expenditure rise significantly… it’s probably neither here or there to the ‘average club cricketer’ who only (sensibly) changes their bat every few years 😅
Everyone would feel it, but there are cheaper options. As with most things. I'm looking at new irons for golf as mine are getting on a bit, paid £800 for them 8 years ago and the equivalent ones now are £1300. Will I pay it? Maybe, but if I wanted there are options for £400. Can't say I'm happy about it though! 😂
Which ones have the biggest edges?
Surely you want a thin (top) edge and no offset. 😂
Just watching the highlights and see the Ahmed is using TOn kit so no more Pro Ahmed profiles then. I know he is ok with the bat but seems weird that TON I assume offered £££ to sponsor him
Thought they might want to keep him Keeley isn’t SS Ton money wise but would have thought they would have wanted to keep the young Asian star for international tv limelight
