apologies i haven't been back to you on this post, but have been on the forum on other threads.
talisman, i've answered your question on background on another thread, and to be fair to my repairers they certainly aren't garage and glue operations...maybe others you know are?
£35 is a great price if you need a new handle, split toe repair and refurb all in one go.
also, i have no interest in being the cheapest repair service, if others want to keep doing repairs cheap crack on, personally i think that if you want quality you pay for it and lets face it buying cheap often results in buying twice...
batrepairs.com has a plan and a strategy, an openly available website which I haven't seen from anyone else on the site, a facebook page which will post pictures of all repaired bats, with nearly 100 cricket playing fans as friends already.
quality bat repairs require good bat makers to dedicate their time to doing them, and i identified in my research is that many repairers are not charging enough and need to charge more.
i'll be introducing a menu based price list very soon too, but my top price will always be £35, which i don't think anyone else on here will be able to match for multiple single bat repairs.
if you want to be the cheapest great, but how can you promise a great service and quality repair when you're making nothing from it, unless you're in it for the love?
charge a fair price for a fair service, £35 is cheaper than a new bat, especially when it's one that you love, and postage & couriers costs are what they are.
i've spoken with a few of you, and we've had good conversations and i've bought bats from members too so who knows maybe some positive feedback soon???
if you want to call me go to the website and you'll find the mobile number.
