You also may just be in that phase of I want lots of kit to impress people, I have done this before and had at times 3 bats and 3 pairs of gloves.

It was completely pointless, i had a favourite pair of gloves that I always wore and 1 bat i used regardless of conditions.

Well the difference between ends is not going to be as different as an uncovered wet April pitch is going to be from a 3 week baking in the sun August pitch

Well if theres only one argument coming from one side, then the arguments are going to become more diluted, wheras if i chalenge these ideas then the more powerful ideas come out,

Its all personal preference! If your a good player it shouldn't matter what kit you got, you should still be able to bowl, bat and field just as well...

Right, buy a top of the range bat from the forum sponsors that is made for performance over looks.

Then buy top of the range gloves with pittards palm. If you wear inners then buy a sh!t load of them.

Buy top pads with removable inners that you can take out to dry/wash

That gear will last you if you buy top of the range,

job done

Fiar enough, I'm still undecided whether to buy this kit from Ayrtek, Chase, BUlldog or Vulcan, but none of them do Pittards i dont think, but if i buy two bats, then i can store one and with a big bulk buy then i get a discoutn as well :)

And it is indeed good advice :)

But, i can't stand using inners, i did for a couple of games but didn't like it, so if i dont wear inners then my gloves will get sweaty and then lose grip etc, so imo 2 pairs of gloves is important..
