Zaheers last spell was a treat to watch, such control. You have to say without him, India don't have another good quality seamer, especially after the way Sharma bowled today, he looked nothing short of a Fish out of water today; before he was injured. Harbhajan came back strongly, Ojha bowled well all day; and was unlucky not to pick up Watson/Hussey and Ponting on seperate occasions.
Watson looked in complete control, a little loose early on, and footwork against spin from time to time was poor, never the less thrived on anything wide with his late cut, and short with his pull.
Ponting was in sublime form too, his footwork is still exceptional and he keeps everything very simple, with a little forward press followed by a big stride to meet the ball or swivel back and block/work/pull away for runs. Clarke seemed to be a little bit desperate to score quickly, Hussey was a touch slow;but was bogged down by good bowling. Norths dismissal wasnt that bad, reminded me of Clarkes dismissal against Simon Jones, albeit from a bowler 10mph slower.
All bodes well for the series, and tomorrow......
