Zaheer Khan, Nehra, Munaf, Sreesanth, RP Singh, Ishant etc all can reverse it. Seeing as India only play 2 seamers, that would mean the remainder are playing in domestic cricket.

The quality of spinners bowling in the Ranji Trophy is streets ahead of the County Champioship

Agree with you on spinners Jeet. You have world class spinners such as Chawla, Mishra, Ashwin and good youngsters such as Jadeja coming through the ranks. Our best hope is Rashid, who isn't bad either....

Ashwin would my 1st choice spinner for India....shame I'm not a selector! Chawla and Mishra seem to keep tripping over themselves.

India have for many years have been short of quality seamers. Okay Zaheer is class. Ishant still has lots to prove.

RP Singh, VRV Singh, Sreesanth, etc have come and gone.

i like the look of this Ojha though. .  .good action and a nice loop.

If murali kartik cant get into the side, then thats saying lots.

what ever happened to the athletic ramesh powar??

Agreed, they have a shortage of quality seamers like we have a shortage of spinners. When we do have a pitch that turns big e.g Cardiff, the Ecb deduct Glamorgan points! Where Is the fairness?

All 3 are still young, actually Mishra is closer to 30 than 20 if I'm right?!

Yes Mishra is 27.

The problem of having so many spinners is that it causes problems s to which can work together in tandem. Harbhajan is the constant. Then Mishra and Ojha have been battling each other to be his partner for the last 12-18 months.

That has led to Mishra losing his confidence and just being lugged around with the squad not bowling.

Chawla has been told to work on his leg break. He has all the variations, but his leggie isn't very threatening.

No i grant that mate, i just think saying he is one of the best under pressure is incorrect.
Relax mate! Its my opinion and I believe Sehwag plays well under pressure and hes one of the best. You may disagree with me but it doesnt mean that I'm incorrect.

Look guys don't want to ruin everything but this topic is about the current tour of India and I think things should be about the current games and affairs. The depth of Indian cricket standards and talent should maybe be talked about in a new topic?

True Colesey, lemme just finish up by saying that Steve Waugh is far better than "half the batsman Tendulkar is". I'd rather Waugh in my side if I'm honest...

If Laxman was playing the short ball so well, why did he need a runner for a bad back?

as you dont need to bend down to a short ball and it doesnt involve running or bending to slide the bat into the crease etc?
