That's odd. This taken from the Aero website "Our first products arrived on the market in 2004 with the introduction of the ground breaking leg , chest and lower body protectors ("Strippers")."

I would guess they're not "the very same" then.

I think the similarity to the p3's is the size ( slim long length pads ) and the traditional knee rolls obvs not the design concept of the P1 or P2's. I doubt Mr Grace's pads were that lightweight....
